V 1.03


This update ended up being much BIGGER than I orginally antcipated!

New:

  • Quest Log-   A free plugin I found and used to make it easier for players to know where to go and what to do when it comes to major and minor quests. This and much else has resulted in old saves being worthless. You will have to start a new game if you want to experience the new content without the game crashing. 

  • New Quests, Items, and Secrets-   I added 9 new side quests for you to find as well as some items and secrets to find out in the world. All that and a new area that are related to the another major addition.

  • New Minigames- I made it so you can now play blackjack, a simple version of poker,  and roulette at the casino as well as high/low dice in in Gildenfold. You unlock blackjack and poker after one side quest and roulette and high or low after a second. 

  • Art- I have made art for the game as you might have been able to guess from the image above. I wanted to test out Stable Diffusion for my own purposes and after playing around with it, I got my hands on some additions that produced some pretty good images. There are some drawbacks to the art as I will mention later, but I spent an entire week working on them (or rather listening to my computer transform into a jet engine).  There is a total of 82 images I produced and added to a gallery room made accessible by an item you'll receive shortly after beating the first boss. These do not rule out the possibility of more as I will expand upon down below. 


  • Character Profiles: In the process of making art I ended up with some headshots I liked and so I decided to add them as face pictures you can change after unlocking them. They don't change the ones in dialogue, just the menu. 



Fixes:

  • Many minor errors found throughout my test playthrough.


Art Notes:  

  • Quality- I spent between 2-4 hours on each picture you see in the game trying my best to refine it to the best the AI could produce under my instruction while also learning how to utilize the text needed to get my desired result. Some I could not fix the hand sand faces (namely the eyes) through much trial and error despite being so close to "perfection." Backgrounds might also be abstract and strange, but worst of all was any object out of the "focus" area becoming warped (the horses took the worst hits).


  • Duplicates- My perfectionism would not allow me to have anything subpar to my standards...until I gave up after many attempts. Which is why Kyn the catgirl doesn't have many pictures as the word soup required would lose all meaning when more was added. In the course of  "perfecting" my images I'd end up with two or more similiar images that both looked good to me. Some I managed to delete while many I couldn't choose a favorite. So there will be very similair looking images  and is why I had more than one headshot of each character.


  • Busty Asian Fetish?- No I do not have a fetish for Asian people. There are two asian charcaters in the game and they both have more images than any other character except maybe  Saffire and Xandrya. All that happened was that I ended up with a lot of good looking pictures while working on them which I assume is partially the fault of the AI. When you type in "beautiful" it often gives the person an asian face. I also ened up having a lot of trouble getting a humanly conceiveable object to manifest in Deladona's hand so I made a lot of those. As for the big tiddies. That is something I am into, but I did want some chest diversity among my characters. Again its the AI and it always happens without even mentioning breast size. Maggy is supposed to be more petite and thin, but no matter how hard I tried it would always make her well endowed and thicc. So I gave up on that and you'll just have to imagine her with less cusion for the pushin'.


  • What About Scenes?- Could not get them to work. Tried here and there and ended up with some fruit, but it wasn't the kind I wanted. I left them in and I'll let you guess which ones they are and what horrors I have seen in trying to create them. AI has yet to figure out specifics of the human anatomy, namely the vagina...This also allows me to touch on my stance on AI art as well. This started out as just some fun and became a small way to enhance my game. But even if I had been able to make more complex scenes (without downloading specific models onto my already crowded computer), I still would like to seek out work from human artists. I can get something specific I want with less gambling and they do need support. I'd also like to mention that I did not use anyone's pictures, art, or face as a reference in the prompt or for image2image. All I did use was a hypernetwork, model checkpoint, and some options preinstalled my version that are just basically hot keys for things you might want to the prompt without typing that word and all of it's synonyms to drive it home. I did use three art styles that were in those options, but they come from older artists and I didn't use them at all after I figured out how to work it properly and developed a cosistant "style" using more general options. Not putting a firm stance down as my law of the land, but it didn't feel right for me to focus on anyone specifically.  That's just me.
